I was purchasing this pinafore dress to wear with a blouse to perform in a Sound of Music" music program. I first ordered a S because I wear a size 6 dress. The small was too tight in the waist for my comfort singing. I then purchased a size M; but then the medium was also too tight, plus the straps seems to be shorter, drawing the elastic waist band up on my rib cage, which certainly wasn't workable. In addition, the front pleats in the front of the dress were significantly gathered on one side and not enough on the other side, making it appear very lop-sided and unusable for me. I don't subscribe to Prime and was two days out from the program. I called a relative who did subscribe to Prime and requested she order the dress in Large and hopefully it would not only show up on my doorstep in time for me to dress and leave for the program, but also fit properly without poor workmanship. Thankfully, it showed up 15 minutes prior to my needing to leave and fit perfectly and sewn properly AND it was the perfect outfit for the program! So there you have it: Sizing way off and spotty workmanship. Truly, it's a gamble.
