comfortable grip, hard tip, just the right size and strength for removing stuck bolts on antique electric typewriters.I had one of these for years and it "disappeared"... anyway, found this exact replacement - would give it five stars but thought it was a bit pricey... but, the tool when needed can't be matched...Been using in work since the 60s, good grip, balance. Its a workhorse.I like these just fine. Provided I remove the parting line in the handle and polish them. Minus one star for having to finish them myself.Of the two I ordered I only had to re install the blade in one handle.Minus one star for poor QCThese don't seem to be up to the standard that the vintage Xcelite screwdrivers maintain. Also they both have a hint of that "Patented Xcelite Smell"This is a great screwdriver. It's well-made, nice grippy finish on the tip. Unlike the Craftman screwdrivers, the blade is actually the labeled width, and the sides are straight and will fit in an 1/8" recess.Put one of these in your tool drawer, and you will find yourself picking it over all other choices. For 20+ years I've worked in Biomedical Engineering repairing medical equipment. Xcelite tools have always been very highly regarded. Their materials still seem of high quality but they are not checking the final quality of the product being manufactured. Frankly, they'd better get their act together before they lose their good name.Klein makes a better screwdriver - check out Klein part # 608-4 as an alternative to the Xcelite R184About this screwdriver - the driver shaft is not straight in the molded handle. Junk !I bought this because I believe Xcelite to be a premium brand. There is a very visible and annoying mold seam around the handle. The tip should have 4 square corners but one was ground off by a finisher. I think it was $11 with super saver shipping. Hey Amazon, you owe me one.Fast shipping - Great product - Thanks !It is perfect...thank you.Exactly as described with fast delivery!
